Spicy Salmon

Ingredients (serve 4)

500g salmon fillets
(boneless and skinless)
300g sour cream
1 bunch asparagus (cut in small pieces)
1 tablespoon chives (cut in 1cm length)
2 small chillies (chopped)
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
2 tablespoons cooking oil (olive oil or vegetable oil)
250g Penne pasta


1. Cook pasta according to the instruction on the packet
2. Put a non-stick pan on the stove, medium heat
3. Once the oil is hot, place salmon fillets in the pan and cook for 3 minutes each side
4. Add asparagus, chives and sea salt
5. Stir sour cream in and let it simmer for 2 minutes

6. Serve in a bowl with chillies and black pepper

Fallen Angels

This is another great entertaining dish from silverlime2013. It’s finger-licking good! 😉



2 kgs chicken wings
4 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce
1 tablespoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon ground garlic
1/2 tablespoon salt
1/2 tablespoon raw sugar


1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl
2. Put marinated chicken wings in a sealed container/ ziplock bag and leave in the fridge for 30 minutes
3. Preheat oven to 200c (conventional)
4. Place chicken wings on the oven tray
5. Bake for 30-45 minutes until golden

1/2 teaspoon ginger powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon white pepper

1 tablespoon soy sauce

500 g ground meat (Make 4 patties)

1/2 iceberg lettuce (shredded)

1 onion (thinly sliced)

4 burger buns


1. In a large mixing bowl, mix ginger, salt, pepper and soy sauce together

2. Keep the mixture in a container and refrigerate for 15 minutes

3. Make 4 patties and grill or fry them 3 minutes each side

4. Put onion in the same pan, fry until it turns brown

5. Place patties on the buns, follow by onion and top with lettuce (serve immediately)

Mustard Drummers


1 teaspoon wholegrain mustard

2 cloves of garlic (crushed)

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoon olive oil

8 chicken drumsticks


1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl

2. Refrigerate for 20 minutes

3. Preheat oven at 200C

4. Arrange chicken drumsticks on baking tray

5. Bake for 45 minutes

CCC Burger



300 g chicken tenderloin
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tomato (sliced)
4 sprigs of celery leaves
4 cheese slices
4 burger buns


1. Marinate chicken with pepper, garlic, salt and olive oil for 15 minutes, keep refrigerated

2. Grill chicken on grill pan on medium high, 5 minutes each side

3. Split burger bun in half, add cheese, celery, chicken and tomato, serve with ketchup and mustard

Soulmate Soup



500 g minced beef
3 strips of bacon (chopped)
1 red capsicum (diced)
2 carrots (diced)
3 potatoes (diced)
3 spring onions (chopped)
1 large zucchini (diced)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vegetable stock powder
4 cups of water


1. Add olive oil and bacon in a large frying pan, cook for 3 minutes
2. Add minced beef and cook for another 3 minutes
3. Add capsicum, carrots, potatoes and spring onions, cook for 3 minutes
4. Add zucchini, ginger, pepper, salt and stock powder, cook for 3 minutes
5. Pour the mixture into a slow cooker, add 4 cups of water and let it cook on HIGH for 4 hours
