Steak & sprouts

200 g beef scotch fillet steak
2 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
1 cup of water
1 cup of brussel sprouts (quartered)
1 cup of bean sprouts
1 cup of mushrooms (thinly sliced)
1 tablespoon chilli (chopped)
1/2 tablespoon fresh garlic (chopped)
1/2 red capsicum (thinly sliced)
1 tablespoon HP sauce


1. Place steak in a shallow bowl, marinate with olive oil, garlic powder and white pepper for 15 minutes
2. Add water in a small sauce pan, bring to the boil
3. Cook brussel sprouts in boiling water for 3 minutes, drain well
4. Grill steak on a grill pan for 8 minutes on medium-high heat (flip steak every 2 minutes)
5. Transfer steak to a serving plate
6. Add capsicum and brussel sprouts and mushroom on the same grill pan, stir-fry for 3 minutes
7. Add bean sprouts, fresh garlic, chilli and HP sauce, stir-fry for another 3 minutes. Serve with steak
